Thomas G. O'Brien II, MS Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Healthcare

    /Surgery PR News/ - New York, NY, July 12, 2008, Thomas G. O'Brien, a physician in private practice, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of healthcare.

Dr. O'Brien has more then 13 years of professional experience. He is responsible for performing minor surgeries, offering healthcare education through media and organizing outreach programs. Dr. O'Brien has a United States Patent for a medical instrument he developed. He holds the rank of Captain in the New York Guard and, in July 2007, was promoted to Commander of the 1102 Forward Medical Support Detachment. Dr. O'Brien considers offering healthcare education through his own cable television show and being able to help others to be the most fulfilling aspects of his career. He received two New York Guard Operation Support Medals, an Humanitarian Award for healthcare excellence and a Beta Award for best health education show.

Dr. O'Brien received his Doctor of Osteopathy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University in 1995 and an Associate Degree in Biology from Nassau Community College in 1996. He also holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from New York Institute of Technology. He is a ringside physician for the United States of America Amateur Boxing Federation and is affiliated with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
