The BelmontTM Rapid Infuser, a medical device used extensively to treat wounded in Iraq, is credited with helping to save the life of an Omaha, NE Police Officer.
The officer was shot three times during a traffic stop. One of the bullets hit him in the abdomen rupturing a major artery.
BILLERICA, MA, November 08, 2008 /Surgery PR News/ -- "Injury to this area is often lethal...when he arrived here he obviously had an abdomen completely full of blood," stated Dr. Robert Fitzgibbons, Jr. (Creighton University Medical Center).
