Allison Paquette Joins Ranks of Leading Professionals
Cambridge Who's Who notes Allison Paquette for services in nursing
OLYMPIA, WA, June 5, 2009, Allison H. Paquette, Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing Services for Puget Sound Health Care of Extendicare, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.
Ms. Paquette has six years of experience in the nursing field, three of which have been at her current position as Director of Nursing for Extendicare. As the director of nursing services, she is responsible for supervising staff, overseeing geriatric, medical-surgical, post acute and palliative care nursing, communicating with dietary consultants, managing residents' transportation, overseeing medical procedures for patients requiring dialysis, tracheostomy and wound care, and acting as liaison between doctors and families.
Having always been enamored with the medical field, Ms. Paquette appreciates the fact that she can make a positive impact on the lives of others. She considers the most rewarding aspect of her career to be the gratitude she receives from her patients, and is especially proud that she was able to attain her present position in such a short time due to her diligence and drive. A registered nurse, Ms. Paquette earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science from Centralia College in 2006, and is a member of the National Association Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care and Phi Theta Kappa.
